The moment we arrived at Cebu City, it looked like we were on a race. After movement of flight time and delays, plan was shifted and we need to visit these places before we ride the 2:30PM bus ride to Dumaguete. But again, Cebu has many places to visit, we were still able to checked different places and of course took pictures.  :)

First Stop: Lapu-Lapu and Magellan's Shrine

Before we went to the city proper, we went to these shrines since the airport was just short distance to this site. It was also a paid tribute to the Battle of Mactan and recognize our first hero, Lapu-Lapu. It was so hot that time but we managed to take great photos while here at Mactan Island. Different photos were shot from Magellan's Shrine to Lapu-Lapu Shrine. We also shot the place where the Battle of Mactan happened.

On our way: Marcelo Fernan Bridge

We asked the driver of the van to drove slowly as we took photos of the famous Marcelo Fernan Bridge. It is one of bridges that connected Mactan Island to mainland Cebu Province. It was divided the cities of Lapu-Lapu which was located at Mactan and Mandaue in Cebu mainland. Their design was unique and we love taking photos. :)

Lunch at Zubuchon

This part was the much awaited event for us. According to them, we will not leave Cebu unless we eat lechon... and we did it! :) Zubuchon was famous because it was featured by Chef Anthony Bourdain about the best tasting pork is in the Philippines due to lechon. I love their food and we were happy that our lunch was here. We tried different dishes and drink their famous Iba Shake (Kamias fruit) which a bit sour and sweet. Zubuchon is located at Mango Avenue which is just right way from Jones Avenue and Fuente Osmeña Circle. Happy lunch eating! :)

Buy more Pasalubong - Made in Cebu

Since we were runing out of time, we bought pasalubong that were made in Cebu. It was a bit hurry but we managed to purchased before we left Cebu at 2:30PM. We went to Shamrock which famous for Otap and Taboan Market for danggit or dried fish and seafood.

We hurriedly proceed to Cebu South Bus Terminal for our 2:30PM scheduled bus ride to Dumaguete City courtesy of Ceres Bus. We passed to different towns and cities in Cebu and we had our RORO (roll-on, roll-off) passing Tañon Strait which separates Cebu and Negros Island. It was a short trip to Cebu but we had our great experiences and we aimed to go back to explore more. :)

Our 5-6 our travel from Cebu City to Dumaguete City was tiring and adventurous. And that's the start of our Visayas Escapades. :)

Continue to the next blog! :)
